Bachelor of Law from the Law School of the Universidade de São Paulo [University of São Paulo] (1967), graduated in Philosophy and Ethics from the Palas Athena Association (1997) and in Sociology and Politics from the School of Sociology and Politics of São Paulo (2000). He specialized at the School of Constitutional Law at the Universidade São Francisco [São Francisco University] (1998) and studied Comparative Law at the Universidade de Lisboa [University of Lisbon], Portugal (1981).

Member of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo Branch.
